Charlie Bishop and most of his children are buried on Tabor Road about 12 -15 miles from Noccalula Falls at Lookout Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Lula Bishop is also buried at Lookout Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. I remember going to Lula and Buna's house as a child with my mother, Verna Mae Bishop Busby and loved to visit with them. Neither were ever married. Buna Bishop and my mother were first cousins. I remember Lula telling me that she had been engaged to marry a man when she was young and he was killed in an accident and she never married. It has been said that Lula Bishop b. 3/20/1880 d. 7/18/1967 was taken in as an orphan by Bishop family, but it was noted on Buna's obituary that she was preceded in death by her Aunt Lula. |

Bishop and his wife Jane. Frances is a servant for Henry Sibert 58 and his son Robert Sibert. Frances Bishop died Dec. 19, 1880 and left Lula Bishop an orphan raised by various members of Bishop family. It has been told Lula Bishop b. 3/20/1880 d.7/18/1967 was taken in as an orphan by Bishop family. She was found in the 1900 census listed in the household of David Bishop who is 34 years old at the time. David Bishop b. 3/1866 wife, listed as Alphy b. 10/1865, 33 years old. 1. Ollie A.
