5. Robert S. Bishop b. July 18, 1830 SC died September 22, 1902.  Robert Bishop was married 1st to Jane unknown and 2nd to Nancy Tidwell Rooks b. 1845 GA. Robert Bishop is buried at Kyuke Cemetery in Etowah County.  Records say Robert Bishop child of Jesse Bishop. Settlers of Northeast Alabama Vol. III has R.S. Bishop born 8 July 1828 or 9 died 22 Sept. 1902.
            i. William P. Bishop b. June 13, 1859 d. July 13, 1860.  (Robert Bishop age 29 is found in the 1860 census of Cherokee County, Alabama with wife Jane Bishop age 21 and son William P. Bishop 11 months old) District 1 - Cherokee County Alabama 1860 Census Page 205.  Living in the next house is Robert's father Jesse Bishop 79 and Agnes Bishop 66 and others living in household are Elizabeth Bishop 45, Matilda Bishop 32, Thomas Bishop18, Harriet Bishop 13.
                    ii. Fances Bishop b. July 18, 1861 d.Dec. 19, 1980 had daughter Lula Bishop b.

Robert Bishop married  his second wife Nancy Rooks on March 12, 1867 in DeKalb County, Alabama and had the following children:  Nancy Tidwell was born 1845 in GA and died Jan. 22, 1897.  Nancy Rooks had two daughters by her first marriage to W. Rooks.

Black 26 b. GA, Parlee Black 21 b. AL. dau. Mary M. Black age 5 b. AL and Edward Black 2 b. AL.  Paralee Rooks m.2 Wood. and m3. Joseph R. Bigham after 1920 in Etowah County, AL.  Mr. Bingham has five sons, Robert, Claude, Jim Commander Bigham and John Bigham, four daughters Mrs. Ed Sitz, Mrs. John Grady, Mrs. Clarence Whitt and Mrs. Jessie Johns.
                              2.  Mary Jane Rooks b.8/20/1861 d. 2/24/1950 m. on 5 Sept. 1889 to Augustus Anderson Allen b.2/28/1852 d.8/22/1915.  Mary Jane Rooks Bishop was Augustus' 4th wife. They are buried at

Community Center in theTraders and Farmers Bank Building, Arley, Winston County, AL.  Take 278 W from Cullman.   You will turn left on 77 about 10 miles on the other side of Jones Chapel.   Go about 15 miles to Arley, AL - at the stop sign take a left on 41.   Meek High School is on your right and Traders and Farmers Bank is on the right after you pass the school.  See you there!

Jesse Bishop b. abt 1776 SC  Jesse Bishop 74 is found in the 1850 census 848th District of Paulding County, GA  on page 76 with wife, Agnes 62, Elizabeth 35, Matilda 24, Daniel 23 and Robert 20.  In the next household is Washington W. Bishop 30, July Ann 30, John 2, Robert 2 months old and living with them is Melissa Millican 17.(who marries Daniel Bishop)

Jesse Bishop born about 1776 in South Carolina and  married Agnes unknown.  They moved to Paulding County, Georgia and then to Cherokee County, Alabama and on to Collinsville, DeKalb County, Alabama.  Agnes, lived to be in her nineties.  They were Methodist and she climbed a mountain every Sunday to go to church.  Jesse and Agnes' children were:

4. Daniel Bishop b. 1827 SC m. Malissa Millican.  Their children were:
           i. Mary Bertha Bishop b. July,1854 in Beebesprings, St. Clair County, Alabama m. Richard Hooper
on 20 Feb 1883.  They had four sons, the first two were twins.  She has relatives still living in DeKalb County, AL.  Mary Bertha died prior to 1922 in Alabama.
          ii. Sarah J. Bishop b. 1857 in Beebesprings, St. Clair County, Alabama
         iii. William T. Bishop b. 1860 in Beebesprings, St. Clair County, Alabama.  William had two daughters Mrs. Freeman and Mrs. Boggs and son Walter Bishop.
         iv. Rhoda Thornton Bishop b. 1863 in Beebesprings, St. Clair County, Alabama m. James Buchanan "Buck" Drake.
          v. Wilson Decatur Bishop b. 9/14/1866 in Beebesprings, St. Clair County, Alabama m. Sarah Elizabeth Barkley.  Wilson Decatur Bishop was a blacksmith, farmer and an ordained Southern Baptist minister.  He was the father of seven sons and three daughters.   He moved to Lone Oak, Texas south of Dallas.  Children of Wilson and Sarah are:

         vi. Amanda "Mandy" Ann Bishop b. 11/14/1869 in Collinsville, DeKalb County, Alabama; she was the second wife of Booker Thompson "B.T." William Zylmon Phillips Campbell.  B.T. Campbell was a minister and had six children when his wife died.  Booker and Mandy Campbell had two Children:
                              1.  Fannie Campbell born 1902 m. Tom G. Jenkins
                              2.  Booker T. "Uncle T" Campbell b. 4 July 1910.

         vii. James "Jim" Bishop b. 1872.  He never married and died young at age 16.
         viii.Isaac "Ike" Bishop b. 3/27/1874 in Collinsville, DeKalb County, Alabama. and died 9/9/1963 in Lone Oak Texas.  Ike married on 1/13/1907 in Hunt County Texas to Lucy Jones b. 3/23/1879 d. 2/16/1960 in Lone Oak Texas.  Their childen are:

In the 1880 census of DeKalb County, Alabama in Township 9, Elizabeth Bishop is found at age 64, b. SC, with sister Matilda Bishop 58 b. SC and mother Agnes Bishop age 106 b. VA. daughter Harriet Bishop 30 and nephew David V. Bishop.   Also, living next door is Robert Bishop 50 b. SC, wife, Nancy Bishop 35 b. GA, Jessee Bishop 12 b. AL, Andrew Bishop  10 b. AL, Charley 7 b. AL and George 4 b. AL.  These Bishops are listed in the census records as Bushops.   Living next door is Edward Bishop 46 b. SC, wife Jane Bishop 45 b. GA, Lucy Bishop 12 b. GA and Dollie Bishop 10 b. GA.  Edward could be another son of Jesse Bishop but most likey he is a nehpew of Jessie Bishop..  Considering the age of Jesse Bishop when found in Paulding County, GA, there could be many more children belonging to Jesse and related to these Bishops.
